Our Program

Monthly Wildwood Enrichment Courses and Activities - For PEP and UA Students*

Literacy: Readers & Writers Workshop – $350

Our Readers and Writers Workshop invites students into a vibrant literacy community where they grow as both readers and authors. Through rich, high-quality texts, engaging mini-lessons, and daily opportunities to read and write, students develop comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and writing craft. Instruction is personalized, encouraging each child to explore their own voice while building foundational skills. This workshop fosters a lifelong love of reading and writing while strengthening the tools they need for academic success.

Mathematics: Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) – $250

Our math program, grounded in Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI), builds strong number sense, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning. Students explore real-world problems and use a variety of strategies to solve them, developing deep conceptual understanding rather than memorizing steps. Through hands-on activities, math talks, and guided exploration, children learn to explain their thinking, make connections, and see math as creative, logical, and relevant to everyday life. This approach nurtures confident mathematicians who can think flexibly and tackle challenges with persistence.

Units of Inquiry: Science & Social Studies – $250
Our Units of Inquiry use a project-based learning approach to explore one big idea in both Science and Social Studies each trimester. Students investigate meaningful, real-world topics through hands-on experiences, research, and collaboration, integrating literacy, math, and the arts along the way.

  • Trimester 1 Sneak Peek: Students will explore and share about themselves, their families, and their community while also diving into the garden—studying biology, ecology, and the living systems that connect us all.

  • Each unit culminates in student-led projects or presentations, empowering children to become curious, informed, and engaged participants in their world.

Enrichment: Arts & Physical Education – $500

Our enrichment program nurtures creativity, self-expression, and physical well-being through a variety of engaging classes. Students explore the arts in our Reggio-inspired atelier with hands-on projects in drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. They also participate in music—developing their voice, rhythm, and instrumental skills—and stay active with dynamic physical education opportunities including jujitsu, soccer, and cooperative games. These experiences help students build confidence, teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong love for the arts and movement.
